About these terms
These terms are an agreement between ReviewLoop ("ReviewLoop", "we", "us") and the business that signs up to use it ("you"). By starting a free trial or a subscription, you agree to them.
ReviewLoop is for businesses. You must be signing up on behalf of a business, and you must have the authority to agree to these terms for it.
The service
ReviewLoop connects to your invoicing system and, when a customer's invoice is marked as paid, sends that customer a text or email asking for a Google review. It sends one reminder if the customer hasn't responded, and then stops. Customers can also send you a private note. ReviewLoop shows your reviews and notes in a dashboard and drafts replies for you to approve.
We may add, change or remove features over time. If we remove something important, we'll tell you first.
Free trial
New accounts start with a free trial. The length of the trial is shown when you sign up. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription starts automatically.
Price and billing
- ReviewLoop costs $99 a month plus GST.
- You're billed monthly in advance, by card, through Stripe.
- If we change the price, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before it applies to you.
- If a payment fails, we'll email you. If it isn't sorted out, we may pause sending review requests until it is.
Cancelling
ReviewLoop is month to month. There's no contract and no minimum term. You can cancel any time from your dashboard.
When you cancel, your account stays active until the end of the month you've already paid for, then stops. We don't give refunds for part months.
Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Give us accurate account and billing information, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login details secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Only send review requests to people who are genuinely your customers.
- Have consent to send them electronic messages, as required by the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. The Act allows express, inferred and deemed consent, and it's your responsibility to make sure you have it.
- Collect and hold your customers' details in line with the Privacy Act 2020, including letting them know you may contact them.
- Keep the customer information in your invoicing system accurate.
Acceptable use
ReviewLoop is built to follow Google's review policies, and you must use it that way too. You must not:
- Use ReviewLoop to ask only the customers you expect to be happy, or to steer unhappy customers away from Google. This is called review gating and Google's policy doesn't allow it.
- Offer customers any payment, discount, gift, prize or other incentive in exchange for a review, or for changing or removing one.
- Post, or ask anyone to post, fake reviews, including reviews from staff, family or friends.
- Send messages to people who aren't your customers, or to anyone who has opted out.
- Put anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or offensive in your messages or replies.
- Try to break, overload, copy or reverse engineer ReviewLoop, or get around any of its limits.
Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or Google's policies, or if your use of ReviewLoop puts other customers, our service or our access to Google or our messaging providers at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If the problem is serious, we may act straight away.
Third-party services
ReviewLoop works with services run by other companies, including Xero, MYOB, ServiceM8, Fergus, Google, Twilio, SendGrid and Stripe. Your use of those services is covered by their own terms.
These companies can change or withdraw their services at any time. We'll do our best to keep our integrations working, but we can't control them, and we're not responsible if a change on their side affects ReviewLoop.
We don't control what your customers write or whether Google publishes a review. Google moderates every review and may decline to publish some.
Availability and support
We aim to keep ReviewLoop running reliably, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to take it offline for maintenance from time to time, and we'll try to do that at quiet times.
Support is available by email at hello@reviewloop.co.nz.
Your data
Your data stays yours. That includes your customer information, your reviews data and your message wording. You give us permission to use it only to provide ReviewLoop to you.
You can export your data from the dashboard, or ask us to delete it. When you cancel, we delete your data as set out in our privacy policy.
Our software
We own ReviewLoop, including its software, design and content. These terms give you the right to use it while your account is active, and nothing more. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we can use them to improve ReviewLoop without owing you anything.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under New Zealand law that can't be excluded.
As far as the law allows:
- We're not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost opportunities.
- We're not responsible for the content of reviews, what your customers choose to write, or Google's decisions about publishing, removing or restricting reviews or profiles.
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
You're responsible for how you use ReviewLoop, including the messages you send and the replies you approve.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using ReviewLoop after that, you're agreeing to the updated terms. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
